As I wasn't able to find up-to-date decent printable maps of the landmasses, I created some by myself. I want to share them with the UO community, so you can download them here:
- Printable map of Britannia (PDF, 2 pages)
- Big printable map of Britannia (PDF, 4 pages)
- Printable map of the Lost Lands (PDF)
- Printable map of Ilshenar (PDF)
- Printable map of Malas (PDF)
- Printable map of Tokuno (PDF)
For opening and printing the PDF files, I recommend the FREE software Foxit Reader, which is much faster and requires much less system resources than the Adobe Acrobat Reader.
The landmasses of Sosoria are filled with exciting, beautiful, dangerous and interesting places. Nowadys hardly anybody bothers to put on some leather boots and walk (or ride) through the wilderness in order to discover the beauty of Sosoria. Recalling in and out of dungeons or spawn locations in order to achieve the most uber magic item is the only thing that seems to keep everybody busy. Even the old land Britannia offers so many exciting landmarks, it would keep a storyteller by the fireplace busy for a very long time without boring his listeners. I recently met somebody who lived in Sosoria for more than 3 years. But neither did he know about the Hedge Maze and its secrets, nor had he ever visited the Yew Prison. He never heard of the secret Pirate Caves, never admired the beauty of the Shrines and didn't know about any of the haunted ruins scattered across the landscape of Britannia.
I want to encourage every adventurer to put aside their Recall and Gate Travel spells and explore the wilderness on foot or mount. Buy a ship and set sails to islands nobody has been visiting for a long time! Maybe the days where you could meet other rangers by the ancient ruins of an old tower and talking about the beauty of Britannia while fending off some undead creatures are not over for good.
This section contains comprehensive (albeit not quite complete) information for the Ultima Online adventurer. Here you will find not only maps of all the Sosorian landmasses, but also guides to cities, dungeons, shrines, landmarks, moongates and other interesting things.
