Through the Desert and the Northern Forests

| We crossed the desert and passed the
Compassion shrine. We didn't meet any of the killers yet. Maybe they had heard rumors
about our attack and hidden themselves. We ran on to the west looking for the Chaos
shrine. Everyone was eager to train his fighting abilities, so we continued with high speed. |

Just for fun we whacked a cougar in the forest. It wasn't a real fight, because everyone of us would have killed him by himself. So we were four against one and did it as a warm up. Then suddenly Lord Lag struck again, and as I gained consciousness I was alone. I had been catapulted back in time and was standing in the forest, no one around. I didn't know exactly what to do now, so I decided to head back to the tower. |
| On my way back I came across an ettin
and decided once more to test my fighting abilities on him. As I attacked a dire wolf also
got interested in me. I was attacked by a giant monster and a dangerous wolf at the same
time. I decided to slay the wolf first, trying to get out of the ettin's way. After some
time the wolf was weakened and escaped. I couldn't follow him for the ettin still was
swinging his mighty axe. It was a hard fight. My abilities sure had increased, this time the ettin lost more life energy than me! |
|
| Finally, with a strong blow of my battle axe the ettin gargled and sank heavily to the ground. I had won! He was carrying many useful things with him which I wanted to take to the bank of Britannia. The area was said to be haunted by killers, so I was very careful on my way, hiding every now and then. |

I met another monster at
the bridge near Compassion, and there's nothing much to tell about. It had no chance
against my skills, my armor and my weapon. The loot was it worth being kept up with a
short fight. |
| Well, it was not over yet! I heard a
grunting sound nearby, and I knew it was the voice of an orc. I lifted
up my axe,
expecting him. I wanted to send him my greetings with my sharp blade. When the orc was in
sight, my movements froze suddenly: It was an orcish mage! I knew I didn't have a chance
against magery, for my resisting skill was not very good trained. I hid at once, but the
orc didn't walk away. After some minutes of waiting I was shouting for help. Maybe there
was someone around who could help me out of this mess. Finally another fighter appeared swinging his sword towards the orc. I warned him that the orc was very dangerous. |
|
| I stopped hiding and attacked the orc,
supporting El-mirt with all my power. But the orc cast one spell after another on El-mirt,
so he lost energy very soon. He recognized it was looking bad for him and ran away, the
orc followed him and finally killed him before he could hide. Then he cast a spell on me.
I was feeling woozy and ill. The orc had poisoned me! I managed to get some distance
between him and me and hid successfully. I was feeling very sorry for the brave fighter, for he had lost his life and I wasn't able to help him, I even couldn't guard his equipment, for the orc wasn't moving away. |
|
Then suddenly I broke out of my hiding place and ran. I ran and ran, and after a while the grunting of the orc behind me got weaker and ceased. I was safe! Finally I reached the moongate and was back to Trinsic again!
If El-mirt ever should read those lines he should know I feel very sorry about this and I thank him for his selfless support. May the light guide him on his further journeys!

nce again
I met in the guild tower with my friends. It was rather crowded, many of the brave
fighters and mages were around. We had heard of killers and murderers who were gathering
at the Chaos shrine, and we decided to go there and take revenge. Almost everyone of us
had been killed at least once by one of them and everyone of us had a reason to fight
them.
