Down to the Covetous Dungeon

hen we reached the entrance of the
dungeon some other fighters were just coming out of it. We asked them if there were any
human murderers down there, but they hadn't seen any.My heart was beating faster when I looked at the dark yawning hole in the rocks leading deep down beyond the sunlight. Some instructions about always staying close together, then we entered the cave. |
| I was shocked how dark it was down
there! I hardly could see my own hand in front of my eyes, and only some torch lights
and
candles threw flickering shadows on the cold rocky walls sometimes. The smell of death surrounded us! |

| Suddenly even the faint shimmer of light
was gone, and it was almost totally dark. Somebody came running down the gallery shouting
something I didn't understand. Then we saw it: He was followed by a gazer, like the one I
already had seen at the Yew forest some days ago. Three of us attacked, while the others
were occupied by a giant snake. In the heat of the fight we got split, and suddenly I was standing in the dungeon alone. I decided to leave, for I didn't want to risk my life anymore. On my way back I killed a giant rat, and then I was sneaking to the exit, hiding every now and then. |

I was afraid some looters and murderers
were waiting outside the dungeon, but I was lucky. When I left to the moongate to Trinsic
I saw two guys coming out of the caves who had not been as lucky as I was. They were
ghosts looking for the next healer. Fortunately I safely reached the moongate and transferred to Trinsic, where I put my gains in the safe. This had been a lucky and successful day! |
