Information about joining us
Basic requirements
If you want to join us, you have to meet the following requirements (exceptions are possible):
- You are a passionate Arcanist. This means, you have already reached the grandmaster level in Spellweaving, or you will do so in the next two weeks. We only can combine our powers, if you are a skilled Spellweaver.
- You are a reliable person. We will go on a lot of adventures together, and we will only succeed if we can rely on you.
- You are no notorious player killer. Killing other players in game is nothing we condemn. However, we mostly spend time in Trammel and we do not focus on PvP for the time being.
- You have to be a person who can get along with most matters by himself. The guild will always be there to help, but we will not carry you to your destination. It is your own initiative we call for.
- You have to stick to our few simple rules. We will not dictate the way you play, but the few rules we do have, have to be met implicitly.
Our rules
We are friends and associates who depend on each other. If someone is asking for help in a serious matter, we expect all available guild members to bail him out. If someone in our guild needs a high level Arcane Focus, all available members should gather and channel their powers. Don't forget, these are the basic objects of this guild!
As being experienced is a requirement to join us, you should not expect to receive any gifts from guild members. We help wherever we can, but we also count on your own abilities. You need gold or an artifact? We will willingly assist you in hunting and earning them by yourself, but do not expect to receive them as a gift from the guild. Our support and our companionship, that's what we offer for free!
Avoid funny language in game! We are no pure role players, but we think it is appropriate to act in a way that reflects our knowledge and our depth. You are an Arcanist! You are counted amongst the most wise and powerful mages of Britannia. Behave like one! Always remember: Your behavior reflects on the guild.
Almost everybody will get to a point of frustration or dissatisfaction sooner or later. If you feel this happening, talk to the guild leaders! Speak your mind, let us know what is bothering you. We can help you making the right decision or finding a solution, if you want to.
Ranks, leadership and initiative
Our guild is horizontally organized. Nobody is superior. Nobody looks down on other members. Arrogance and pride are not part of our philosophy. There will be no ranks. The leaders of the guild will provide advise and may make a final decision in cases where a democratic agreement seems impossible. Consider our basic rules a manifest, the foundation this guild is built on. The 9th Circle will change and evolve over time. We will not allow the guild to be messed up by people with ranks. Each member will be heard. Each opinion will be taken seriously.
Do not expect the guild leaders to tell you what to do. We want every member to take the initiative within the limits of his or her abilities.
