Information about The 9th Circle

Establishing the guild

The 9th Circle was founded at the beginning of the year 2008 by McBykar and Talis Moonbeam. We both are passionate Spellweavers and Mages. However, the real force of Spellweaving is only revealed by channeling powers with a group of Arcanists. This kind of cooperative casting allows for arcanists to weave titanic magic that would otherwise be impossible for a mortal to command. We often tried to find like-minded people with a high Spellweaving skill. This was not always easy. Spellweaving was not a very popular skill. We noticed that almost every Arcanist seemed to have the same problem, thus we decided to establish a guild where people of our kind could easily meet, exchange knowledge and go on adventures together.

Our Attitude

We are people who like to explore and who seek the challenge. We do not fear danger, although we also do not run blindly to our own doom. Our goal is not to reach the highest skill level or to hunt for the most rare artifact. We strive for fun and adventure. We think, knowledge and power should only be achieved by the worthy.

"The Ninth Circle"

The name of our guild can be derived from the Circles of Magic. The skilled mage knows that there are eight Circles of Magic containing different spells. The higher the circle, the more powerful the spells and the more skill is required to cast them. We consider Spellweaving an enhancement of Magery. Spellweaving allows you to summon powerful forces of nature and manifest them into various spell effects. The arcane knowledge of the elves enlightened us. We consider Spellweaving to be the ninth circle of Magery.
Of course, learning the ways of an Arcanist does not require knowledge of Magery. But being a skilled mage will be a prerequisite to become a balanced weaver of spells.
